Well the way the photos are situated, I guess it's really an After and Before. The bottom picture is how my deck was originally. The top photo is after I completed it tonight. With some help, I extended the 4x4 posts to 8 feet tall, put a beam across the top and attached some privacy curtains. I only did the work on 2 sides of the deck. The other has a nice view and I didn't want to be totally boxedin. Crappy view and staring neighbours gone!

Ahhh ... nosy neighbours. I have those in spades! Too bad I can't put up a privacy curtain around my whole yard.
